Cookie Policy

Last updated: [Add date]

This Cookie Policy explains how Quaisr Ltd ("Quaisr", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website and platform (collectively, the "Service"). It provides clear information about the cookies we use, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences.

By continuing to use our Service, you consent to the use of cookies as described in this policy. You can withdraw your consent or modify your cookie preferences at any time using the methods described in the Managing Your Cookie Preferences section below.

This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which provides further detail about how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, to provide a better user experience, to remember your preferences, and to supply information to the owners of the website.

Cookies can be:

  • First-party cookies – set by the website you are visiting
  • Third-party cookies – set by a different domain, typically an analytics, advertising, or service partner

They can also be classified by duration:

  • Session cookies – temporary cookies that are deleted from your device when you close your browser
  • Persistent cookies – cookies that remain on your device for a set period of time or until you manually delete them

Similar technologies include web beacons (tracking pixels or clear GIFs), local storage, session storage, and browser fingerprinting techniques. References to "cookies" in this policy include all such similar technologies unless otherwise stated.

Types of Cookies We Use

1. Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the basic operation of our Service. They enable core functionality such as security, authentication, session management, and network routing. Without these cookies, the Service cannot function properly, and therefore you cannot opt out of them.

Strictly necessary cookies include:

  • Session cookies – maintain your authenticated login state as you navigate between pages within the platform, preventing you from having to re-enter your credentials on each page load
  • Security cookies – help detect and prevent cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks, credential stuffing, and other fraudulent or malicious activity directed at the Service
  • Load balancing cookies – distribute incoming traffic across multiple servers to ensure optimal performance, prevent server overload, and maintain service availability during high-traffic periods
  • Cookie consent cookies – store your cookie preferences so that we can honour your choices on subsequent visits without asking you again each time

These cookies are set for the minimum duration necessary to perform their function. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Security and load balancing cookies are typically retained for no more than 24 hours.

2. Functional Cookies

Functional cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalisation beyond the core operation of the Service. They remember choices you make and provide improved, more personal features. While the Service can operate without these cookies, disabling them may result in a less tailored experience.

Functional cookies include:

  • Language and locale preferences – remember your selected language, region, and locale settings so that content is displayed in your preferred format on subsequent visits
  • Theme and display preferences – remember your chosen display settings, such as dark or light mode, sidebar visibility, and layout preferences within the platform
  • Form data and auto-fill – retain information you have entered in forms, search fields, and filters to avoid the inconvenience of re-entering the same data repeatedly
  • Feature preferences – remember which platform features you have enabled or disabled, your preferred dashboard configuration, and notification settings
  • Recent activity – store information about your recent navigation, recently viewed documents, and frequently accessed areas of the platform to provide quick-access shortcuts

Functional cookies are typically persistent cookies with a retention period of 30 days to 12 months, depending on the specific preference being stored.

3. Analytics Cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our Service by collecting and reporting usage information. This data is typically aggregated and anonymised, meaning it does not directly identify individual users. Analytics data is essential for us to monitor performance, identify issues, and make informed decisions about how to improve the Service.

Analytics cookies collect information such as:

  • Page views and navigation paths – which pages are most frequently visited, how users navigate through the platform, and where they enter and exit
  • Feature usage and engagement – which features are used most frequently, how long users spend on specific tasks, and which workflows are most common
  • Performance metrics – page load times, server response times, rendering performance, and other technical performance indicators
  • Error and exception tracking – detection and diagnosis of client-side errors, failed API requests, and other technical problems that may affect the user experience
  • Search behaviour – search queries entered, search result click-through rates, and the effectiveness of search functionality

We use the following analytics services:

  • Vercel Analytics – provides web performance monitoring, Core Web Vitals tracking, real-time usage analytics, and deployment performance insights. Vercel Analytics is privacy-focused and does not use cookies for cross-site tracking. Data is processed in accordance with Vercel's privacy policy.
  • PostHog – provides product analytics, user behaviour insights, session recordings (with personally identifiable information redacted), feature flag analytics, and A/B testing capabilities. PostHog can be configured to run in a privacy-compliant mode and data is processed in accordance with PostHog's privacy policy.

Analytics cookies are typically persistent cookies with a retention period of up to 24 months. The data collected through these cookies is retained in our analytics platforms for up to 24 months before being aggregated or deleted.

4. Marketing Cookies

Marketing cookies are used to track visitors across websites and to display advertisements that are relevant and engaging for the individual user. We currently use a limited number of marketing-related cookies, and we do not serve display advertising on our platform.

Marketing cookies include:

  • LinkedIn Insight Tag – a lightweight JavaScript tag that enables conversion tracking, retargeting, and analytics for our LinkedIn advertising campaigns. It collects information about LinkedIn members who visit our website, including their IP address, timestamp, page URL, and browser metadata. This data is used to measure the effectiveness of our LinkedIn campaigns and to build targeted audiences for LinkedIn advertising. The data is encrypted, pseudonymised within 7 days, and deleted within 180 days.
  • Referral and campaign tracking – identifies the source of traffic to our website, including UTM parameters, referral URLs, and campaign identifiers. This helps us understand which marketing channels and campaigns are most effective at driving qualified traffic to the Service.
  • Conversion tracking – records when visitors complete specific actions on our website (such as signing up for a demo or downloading a resource) after clicking on one of our advertisements. This data is used to measure advertising return on investment and to optimise our marketing spend.

Marketing cookies are typically persistent cookies with a retention period of up to 12 months. You can opt out of marketing cookies at any time without affecting the core functionality of the Service.

Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You have several options for controlling and managing cookies on your device. We respect your right to choose which cookies you accept, and we will not set any non-essential cookies without your consent.

Browser Settings

Most modern web browsers provide built-in controls for managing cookies. You can typically:

  • View all cookies currently stored on your device, including details of the domain, name, value, and expiry date
  • Delete individual cookies or clear all cookies from your browser
  • Block cookies from specific websites or domains
  • Block all third-party cookies while allowing first-party cookies
  • Set your browser to prompt you before accepting each cookie
  • Configure automatic deletion of cookies when you close your browser

Blocking or deleting certain cookies may affect the functionality of our Service. In particular, blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in and using the platform.

Browser-Specific Instructions

Instructions for managing cookies vary by browser. For example:

  • Google Chrome – Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
  • Mozilla Firefox – Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and Site Data

For other browsers, please consult the browser's help documentation or settings menu.

Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that sends a signal to websites indicating that you do not wish to be tracked. There is currently no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. Our Service does not currently respond to DNT browser signals, but we respect your cookie preferences as set through the mechanisms described in this policy.

We are monitoring the development of the Global Privacy Control (GPC) standard and may implement support for GPC signals in the future.

We carefully select our third-party partners and require them to comply with applicable data protection laws, but we recommend that you review their respective privacy and cookie policies for full details.

Cookie Retention Periods

Different categories of cookies are retained for different periods, depending on their purpose:

  • Session cookies – automatically deleted when you close your browser

We review our cookie retention periods regularly and reduce them where possible. We do not retain cookie data for longer than is necessary for the stated purpose.

Consent and Withdrawal

When you first visit our Service, we will present you with a cookie consent banner that explains the categories of cookies we use and allows you to accept or reject non-essential cookies. Your consent preferences are stored in a strictly necessary cookie so that we can remember your choices on subsequent visits.

You can withdraw your consent or change your cookie preferences at any time by:

  • Adjusting your browser settings as described above
  • Clearing your cookies and revisiting the Service, which will trigger the consent banner again
  • Contacting us at privacy@quaisr.com to request that we update your preferences

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out based on consent before its withdrawal. After withdrawal, we will stop setting the relevant non-essential cookies, but data already collected may continue to be processed for legitimate purposes (such as completing an analytics report) unless you also request deletion, where applicable.

Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, changes in our technology or business practices, or changes in applicable laws and regulations. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via a revised cookie consent banner.

We encourage you to review this Cookie Policy periodically to stay informed about how we use cookies and related technologies. Your continued use of the Service after any changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
